We are seeking experienced and entry-level Travel Agents to assist our clients with planning their business or leisure travel while building strong relationships and delivering excellent experiences.
DUTIES | TASKS
•Converse with customer to determine destinations, mode of transport, travel dates, financial consideration and accommodation required to compute cost for travel.
•Prepare & issue travel invoices, meet set targets as well as collect payment for travel services
•Book hotel, car rentals, Intercape, flights, travel insurance, admission to entertainment, cruises, safaris etc.
•Creative and out of the box planning and designing of leisure FIT tailor-made itineraries
•Research tour destinations / tour programs to meet client needs
•Be a trusted advisor by offering informed and insightful recommendations which provide the very best traveler experience in each situation.
•Provide customers with brochures & publicity containing travel info
•Air ticketing ; local & international including low cost carriers
•Sell travel accessories & recommends travel services
•Getting info, observing, receiving and otherwise obtaining info from relevant sources
•Keeping clients up to date with changes and update social media & website
•Attending spotlights/ trade fairs /meetings as well as organizing activities & representing the brand
•Resolving conflicts & negotiating
•Developing objectives and strategies
•Specialize in domestic, foreign & group travel, specific geographic area & airplane charter packages
•Ensuring turnaround times are strictly adhered to according to standard operating practices

KNOWLEDGE | EXPERIENCE | REQUIREMENTS
•Proficiency on Amadeus and good geographical knowledge
•At least a diploma in Tourism / Marketing / Hospitality or related field
•At least 2 years’ experience as a travel consultant with extensive travel experience and broad product knowledge (for non entry level)
•Experience in the travel industry and passion for the travel industry
•Working knowledge of Windows based computer applications and internet proficiency and ability to learn and use multiple programs/systems
•Excellent Customers service skills & sales
•Clerical ,administration procedure & knowledge of travel processes
•Ability to work independently as well as part of the team
•Proven ability to work in a fast paced environment & multi task
•Availability to work variable shifts including weekend
•A foreign language will be an added advantage : Chinese| French| Japanese | Italian |German
