Job Description -
- Analyse the business to identify and prioritise opportunities for improvement by applying work flow studies to identify process flow bottlenecks and develop action plans to mitigate;
- Leading and delivering on major Business Improvement projects;
- Implement improvement initiatives to deliver value against key business drivers;
- Coordinate Business Improvement initiatives and projects across mine sites;
- Develop continuous improvement culture through training, coaching and communication across the mine sites;
- Business systems development, re-engineering and reporting on processes to ensure drivers of performance are identified and goals and objectives are achieved;
- Facilitating the development, implementation and monitoring of business improvement key performance measures (KPIs) across the divisions;
- Training and coaching of line managers and improvement teams in business analysis tools and techniques that will be used to realise improvement results, and support the effective deployment of these tools and techniques across the mine sites;Integrating with other support departments to offer a seamless service.
Candidate Requirements -
- A relevant bachelor's degree/diploma in Mining, Metallurgy or Engineering or equivalent disciplines;
- At least eight (8) years' experience in a mining or heavy industry environment, three (3) of which should have been at management/senior level such as a Business Unit Manager;
- Experience with business improvement techniques such as Kaizen, Lean, six sigma and other process management methodologies;
- Ability to coach business unit management and improvement teams as required in the use of the BI Framework, Strategy, tools and Methodologies;
- Sound interpersonal skills, ability to facilitate and lead change in all areas and levels of the business;
- Budget Management and focus on operational cost efficiency;
- A formal qualification in Business Improvement or systems development will be a distinct advantage.
