Overview of role
Reporting to the CEO and Board the MD/ Country manager is responsible for building the team by hiring, training and firing employees. Set individual targets for each employee and conduct regular monthly Performance Reviews.

Management
- Full P&L and Balance sheet responsibility.
- Manage Profitability by Generating Gross Margin, minimize Cost and optimize WoCa.
- Submit annual Budgets and quarterly forecasts.
- Ensure that employees realize their targets
- Ensure that sales people submit realistic & challenging forecasts on quarterly basis for next 6 quarters. The 3rd Quarter forecast is the annual budget.
- Sales representatives are focused on customer relations and sales. Specific responsibility is Customer retention, new customer creation and collections.
Purchaser is focused on suppliers & products. Specific responsibility is the Stock Rotation, Gross Margin, Supplier Relation & TAC generation.
- Purchasing keeps Stock Rotation within targets (expressed in days)
- Gross Margins are realized according to Budget.
These responsibilities are delegated to Administrative/Financial officer, but final responsibility rests with the Managing Director.
- Daily, Weekly and Monthly reporting requirements are timely and correctly met.
- Cost are correctly allocated to products and transactions and that appropriate provisions are made. The Dunning Cycle (=collections) is pro-actively executed by Administrative Assistant
Within the framework of Responsible Distribution and Product Stewardship:
- Receiving, de-bulking, packing, storing and dispatching of products safely & swiftly.
- Maintain a clean and save site, that HSQ&E rules are documented and followed, that customer complaints are properly registered and processed.

Requirements, Education and Experience
- The successful candidate will be wholly responsible for P&L as well as developing and improving all aspects of the business, especially in the areas of sales, marketing, business development and customer service.
- This role will require a strong, personable leader who has the patience and empathy to encourage feedback and initiative from the existing team, while still maintaining the confidence to make the tough decisions
- Experienced: Market knowledge and experience is essential.
- Charismatic: Must be capable of motivating and empowering the existing team.
- Confident: Strong appetite for change and the ability to develop the business in short order.
- Hands-On: Can lead by example and is willing to roll up their sleeves and get stuck in.
- Ethical: Must have a strong sense of ethics and high-minded principles.
