JOB DESCRIPTION
It is not a cushy job nor one that we can pass off as a poor substitute for hard work.
You will be responsible for two things:
Firstly, educating and enrolling new customers in your sales zones and develop a following for the company brand and our products so as to eventually establish consumer brand loyalty. This will be achieved by selling the products directly to the customers (Direct selling).
Secondly, the successful candidate must also be able to articulate both the sensory experience and the business value of our food products and position them in competitive scenarios directly with customers.
If you have had previous experiences in the hospitality industry and wish to expand your professional experiences to include direct experiences with customers or already have one, this may be the job for you!
The job is therefore a cross between being in part a sales executive and in part chef. We therefore expect our sales executives to dress the part and be willing to don an attire (with a light blue long sleeved cotton shirt and black-coloured pants with the red MFK chef attire).

We are looking for persons who can strategically realize our sales goals so that you can start taking home 120 pula commissions per day (within 3 months), six days a week.

WHO WE ARE
We are a food production company with a full suite of My Farmhouse Kitchens (MFK) Savoury and Sweet food products that is led by our very own scrumptious signature product My Farmhouse Curry Puffs (https://www.facebook.com/MyFarmhouseCurryPuff?ref_type=bookmark). We currently work at retailing our products directly to our customers in the private sector with the potential to see demand grow in the medium term through city and national distribution channels.
As our products become more widely known and as the brand matures we envision growth happen through investors in the MFK franchised sale outlets countrywide (and eventually the region and the continent).
SELECTION CRITERIA
We are therefore currently looking for suitably qualified incumbents with the following criteria. You:
- Are between 24 to 34 years old
- MUST HAVE TWO YEARS EXPERIENCE either as an assistant chef or as a waitress or sales executive in a high-contact / short cycles sales industry and an aptitude and a willingness to learn! If you have a marketing qualification but have not gained field experience, this job will overwhelm you. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated:
- An ability to work with executive level stakeholders
- He / she is a self-starter and driver, is highly motivated. Must be performance driven with the ability to excel in a competitive and entrepreneurial environment and be willing to work with fluctuating financial positions.
- Ability to take rejections and objections and failures in his stride and learn to move on keeping his personal and company sales goals in sight at all times
- Show a willingness to work for an organization and as a team, a belief in one's ability to learn and grow with the organization and comes with light personal, financial and family commitments
- Capacity for strong prospecting, networking and business development skills.
- Record of achievement.
- Are PC and Internet literate.
- Have a valid driver's license, reliable car and laptop an advantage is an option
- Are a good team player and possess strong entrepreneurial spirit.

REMUNERATION
Remuneration is 100% commission. THERE ARE NO FIXED BASIC SALARY for this position. It is deliberate selection criteria to pick those who stand up in believing in themselves. Commissions are 10% of sales value with a potential to reach out to 100 customers (that's 120 pula commission per day and usually happens in six months) on a daily basis to reach 1.5K per month (in three months) or up 16K annual take-home pay in the first year (and 30K by his third year).
TRAINING
All successful recruits will :
- be placed on probation for six months,
- undergo a financial planning exercise with us to develop your personal and company milestone sales targets,
- be placed on an in-house induction programme,
- have access to MFK sales training programmes and be supported initially by a mentor as you enter our sales fields.
