To capture and maintain effective and accurate underwriting outputs to all internal and external customers thus contributing to the overall objective of the underwriting department, achievement of GPI and profitability.
- Processing all insurance policies from personal and commercial lines business.
- Checking and reviewing of underwriting terms offered to clients before processing them into the system to produce a policy document.
- Servicing clients and brokers by issuing new policies and effecting amendments according to their needs.
- Reviewing and processing renewal terms/invites to clients and brokers.
- Processing reinsurance policies for commercial lines.
- Preparing credit notes for payment to the reinsurers.
Requirements
- A recognised University Degree
- Certificate of proficiency (short - term).
- 2 years relevant work experience in a short term Insurance market.
- Sound knowledge of regulatory requirements.
