Job purpose and key deliverables | Preference will be given to candidates from the Western CapeThe role will manage the risk and exposure in respect of Key Accounts and Banking Intergration by ensuring the reliability of the financial records and accounts in accordance with the BATSA policies and procedures. The role is required to provide financial support to the Key Accounts Team to ensure an effective operating model.
Key Deliverables
- Deliver complete, accurate and timely key financial information in respect of the Key Accounts debtors’ balances for the Key Accounts Team.
- Minimise Key Accounts late payments through Debtors Age Analysis for Key Accounts.
- Accurate and consistent processing of Key Accounts payments.
- Effective management of bank dispute and claim dispute resolutions.
- Filing of all documentation in accordance with the BATSA records management policy.
- Ensure outstanding balances are escalated as per the BATSA credit policies and procedures.
- Ensure a high level of internal controls.
- Continuous improvement of the current processes in respect of Key Accounts payment processes.
- Build the Commercial awareness of the Key Accounts Team through active engagement.
- Enable effective teamwork and collaboration with the Sales Finance Team.
- Building effective professional relationships with the Key Accounts Team, Trade Marketing Team and customers. Adhere to the BATSA policies and procedures and BATSA disciplinary code principles.
- In depth knowledge of the operational credit and cash processes and other policies to ensure an effective integration between SAP and Fener.
- Assist the Sales Finance Manager, from the experience of working with integration, to determine best practices, address non-compliance and strengthening the control environment.
- Continuously support and contribute to the development and design of new processes or improvements in existing operational processes, with the purpose of driving efficiencies and effectiveness.
- Support the sales finance teams and Accounts Receivable with daily query resolutions while considering/ maintaining a strong control environment and good corporate governance.
- Assist with the monthly Accounts Receivable system closure.
System integrations
- Perform central reconciliations between SAP and Fener to ensure the two operating systems’ data are aligned.
- Review/investigate integration differences and post manual journals with supporting documentation where required.
- Engage with the relevant business stakeholders to escalate data transfer issues to ensure the integration process remains complete, accurate and valid.
- Challenge and understand proposals discussed on the RTM project to ensure the company is not exposed from an integration perspective.
- Perform User Acceptance testing to ensure system changes are robust and effective before roll out.
- Perform the daily banking integration upload and the associated bank reconciliation.
- Identify system improvements from not only a system integration perspective.
- Perform Cash in Transit reconciliations to ensure all items are cleared timeously.

Essential requirements |
- Grade 12 certificate.
- B Comm degree with Accounting II.
- At least 3 – 5 years relevant working experience.

- Experience on Accounting systems (SAP etc).
- Analytical skills.
- Excellent knowledge of Excel with relevant advanced qualifications.
- Business acumen and ability.
- SAP (FI, MM,SD,CO, & PA modules).
- Good communication skills.
