5.SENIOR TECHNICIAN - Mathematics and Statistics (1 Position)

5.1.Main Purpose of the Job

To render support services required by reaching staff and students to perform practical work effectively in teaching and research. 5 Years contract.

5.2.Educations & Experience

•A Higher National Diploma or Degree in a relevant field
•Should be registered by a professional body where applicable
•2 years post qualification experience in relevant areas

5.3.Competencies & Skills

•Strong communication ability in English-both written and verbal
•Skills in the installation and use of Mathematical and statistical software such as Latex, Matlab, Mathematica, Maple, SAS, SPSS, R etc
•Computer skills using the MS Office Suite and other relevant software
•Organisational skills
•Ability to install and maintain programme related software
•Competency in relevant laboratory/workshop skills
