2.LABORATORY SCIENTIST
2.1.Job Purpose
The incumbent will be responsible for:
•Performing laboratory tests which may include cell counting and sorting using flow cytometry, PCR-based viral load qualification, hematological assays, serology and clinical chemistry and peripheral blood mononuclear cell isolation from whole blood.
•Specimen management and maintaining chain of custody including use of Laboratory Information System or laboratory Data management system and required documentation.
•Working with the QA department in writing and reviewing standard operation procedures and relevant GCLP documentation, complying with policies for the safe, secure and confidential processing and storage of patient and other laboratory information.
1.2.Qualifications and Requirements
•Degree in Bio-medical Sciences , Biological Sciences, Medical Laboratory Technology or related
•At least 1 year post qualification experience
•Current registration with Botswana Health Professions Council will be an added advantage
