Description
Provide finance support to the Africa Cluster Printing and Personal Systems (PPS) Organisation.
- Provides complex, financial analysis and key financial information to enable decision making for the PPS Africa Cluster Organisation.
- Ensure solid control of financials flows.
- Establishes and maintains relationships with business leaders to guide and influence decision-making.
- Providing accurate and timely financial information to management (decision support, business planning)
- Analyzing and interpreting financial results and forecasts (variance analysis, P&L impact)
- Providing key business and financial guidance to the organization (budgeting and forecasting)
- Provides analytic support to business initiatives
- Supports policy and process improvement and identifies opportunities.
- Represents finance on cross functional teams.
- Ability to influence multiple cost centers within a broad scope, typically interacting with managers and directors.
In the Business Support Finance role you will be responsible to help manage the overall financial impact of organizational decisions and activities in order to improve HP's business performance. Business Support provides comprehensive financial analysis and consulting to business unit and industry managers. Business Support finance is the key contact and support for individual divisions and provides financial services and consulting on processes, programs and projects, primarily to business managers, and contributes to planning, forecast and trend analysis. Advise Business owners and their staff on all financial strategic matters.
Responsibilities may include depending upon job level:
- Identifying and handling critical financial and business issues (contract review and negotiation, portfolio analysis)
- Working with cross-functional teams on product pricing reviews and initiatives
- Providing accurate and timely financial information to management (decision support, business planning)
- Analyzing and interpreting financial results and forecasts (variance analysis, P&L impact)
- Providing key business and financial guidance to the organization (budgeting and forecasting)
Qualifications
Education and Experience Required:
First level university degree with a focus in business or economics; advanced degree or accounting certification (e.g.,Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Master of Business Administration (MBA)preferred.
Typically 4+ years of experience as a financial analyst.
Typically experienced in more than one finance function.
Knowledge and Skills Required:
· Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial analysis.
· Strong analytical skills.
· Strong business application skills (e.g., Microsoft Excel).
· Strong communication and influencing skills.
· Excellent teamwork skills
· Good business acumen.
