1.HEAD OF OPERATIONS
Our client has got this great opportunity for a self-driven and results oriented individual to join their highly competent and dedicated team in Gaborone as Head of Operations.
1.1.Main Purpose
•To effectively, implement and manage the necessary operational management activities, policies and process associated with policy systems and policy service activities.
•To enable the business to deliver on agreed service level standards and create a platform to capitalise and grow new business opportunities.
Job Objectives
•To implement and participate in the design and development of products and alternative channel initiatives in order to effectively support and contribute towards strategic business planning.
•To lead, coach and mentor staff across all business pillars to improve organisational capacity and improve business sustainability
•To implement, manage and provide the necessary management information reports required to reconcile all financial and operational results.
•To enhance, implement and maintain operational control processes throughout the business to identify and mitigate key business risks and ensure timely and complete execution of fiduciary duties.
1.2.Position Requirements
1.2.1.Education Requirements
•Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline
•COP up to Intermediate level
Experience
•Minimum of 3 years managerial experience in a financial environment with specific technical experience in corporate and retail claims management.
Competencies:
•Financial and Long Term Insurance Knowledge and associated Systems Background.
•IT Literacy Risk and Compliance analysis MS Office Suite (specifically Advanced Excel) Communication Skills Leadership Skills
•Medical Claims Underwriting skills
•Selling skills
•Systems development and implementation skills
•Information management skills
•Knowledge management skills
•Business accounting skills
•People management skills
