Sales and Service Engineer

The role

The sales and service engineer will act as the representative for Sandvik Process Systems for co-coordinating sales and service resources at customer sites. This person will act as the customer’s business consultant, taking a holistic view of the customer requirements and Sandvik Process System’s offerings.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

• Achievement of targets, as agreed upon during Performance Management.
• Develop sales opportunities for Sandvik within the defined territory or set of customers.
• Liaise between customers and Sandvik to ensure all issues are settled in a timely manner.
• Provide the company with regular status reports on business activities, opportunity development and overall satisfaction of the customers’ base.
• Updating of sales tools with valid cases and customer visit reports.
• Service intervention and marketing thereof at site.
• Customer relationship management.

Your profile

• Qualified boilermaker, with 8 years’ experience in a technical environment.
• Qualified Welding inspector (level 1).
• Proven track record of welding stainless- and carbon steel in a processing environment.
• 5 years’ experience in a technical, problem solving environment.
• Knowledge and understanding of Sandvik Process Systems as well as its customer’s business and operations.
• Sales and Marketing knowledge and skills.
• Computer literate -proven competence in Microsoft Office applications.
• Bilingual and presentable.
• Good communication skills
• Business writing skills
• People skills
• Presentation skills
• Negotiation skills
• Management skills
