Technical Component Planner


Duties and Resposibilities


- Analyse performance data for best economical life.
- Co-ordinate component change out plan for best fleet availability.
- Co-ordinate transportation of components to & from fleet rebuilds facilities.
- Prepare & manage overall master schedule integrating work breakdown structure using scheduling software.
- Control costs of multicomponent rebuild simultaneously.
- Inspect failed components to improve best practice standards.
- Understand and be able to utilize planning tools such as MS Excel, MS Projects etc.
- Developed and implement plan versus actual progress charts. Report and analyse deviations from plan.
- Track, monitor and forecast progress of all activates and deliverables such as components, parts, tooling and labour.
- Analyse gaps between the planning and actual progress and highlight the areas of concern which  require remedial action.
- Liaise with all team leaders to communicate required completion dates, progress and deviation.


Qualifications and Requirements


- NCC/N6 in Heavy Plant Mechanic or equivalent.
- Minimum 10 years working experience in a mining environment.
- 10 years' experience in mining equipment maintenance management.
- 10 years' experience in supporting mining fleet with extended supply chain systems.

- Effective communications skills.
- Computer literacy.
- Good interpersonal skills and proven ability to work to deadlines.
- A safety conscious individual with a good understanding of risk and balance between productivity and safety.
