Essential Responsibilities	Lead the development, implementation and measurement of operating plans and participate in their successful execution Communicate business performance Provide business performance analytics to identify financial trends, highlight risk and opportunities, ensure operational coordination & ensure accuracy in results Drive financial performance improvement initiatives throughout business (cost reduction, asset management, capital efficiency, productivity, etc.) Partner with US headquarters to ensure accuracy & linkage between business CFO’s and South Africa results Partner with South African shared service team to drive accuracy in financial results & improvements in process Drive process improvements across financial areas with linkage to operational drivers Provide updates to joint venture partner & ensure that their requirements are met in a timely manner including audit committee & board requirements Lead the pursuit of excellence in Controllership (e.g., adherence to GE policies, transfer of best practices, internal controls, etc.) Recruit, mentor and develop Finance talent
Qualifications/Requirements	Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance South African Chartered Accountant 8 -10 years finance experience with at least 3 years in a leadership role
Desired Characteristics	Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) or Finance is preferred Strong industry knowledge and contacts coupled with knowledge of controllership, accounting, and tax Controllership assessment and planning experience is preferred Prior experience managing a multi-functional Finance organization is preferred Ability to work under tight deadlines and to prioritize under pressure Strategic thinker with the ability to create and execute concrete action plans Strong analytical, project management, and organizational skills Strong oral and written communication skills Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
