Sales Area Business Controller & Country Finance Manager

The role:

The role of the Sales Area Business Controller & Country Finance Manager is responsible for providing counsel and support to Sales Area Manager. The role is responsible for monitoring, measuring, and analysing business activities and conduct continuous follow-up of performance and risk analysis. The SABC & Finance Manager is also responsible to follow-up the application and adherence of the Sandvik, Sandvik Mining and Global Sales policies and procedure.
YourProfile:
  • Bachelor Degree in Accounting, professional designation preferred
  • 5 – 8 years of accounting experience
  • Exposure to the mining, construction or engineering industries
  • Strategic planning and operations experience

Duties and Responsibilities:

Business Growth and Development

  • Participates in planning processes.
  • Provides management with financial advice, support and ad hoc reports as requested.
  • Support management in business activities and decision making in financial issues – business cases, projects, acquisitions, investments, divestments
Operational
  • Reviews and analyses operating results in relation to cost, budgets and operating policies and make recommendations for cost reduction and profit improvement with specific attention to variances.
  • Ensures the analysis and interpretation of statistical and accounting information.
  • Drives the budget, forecasting, business planning and follow up processes for the Sales Area
  • Conduct and communicate financial analysis and reporting with relevant stakeholders to increase awareness leading to relevant actions and comments (monthly, quarterly, ad-hoc)
  • Customer proposals, negotiations and contracts (must be part of the team from the beginning)

Financial

  • Monitors and controls expenses within the Sales Area
  • To coordinate the cashflow requirements with the Country Finance Manager
  • Credit management in coordination with the corporate Finance department.
