Sefalana Holding Company Limited invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates for the position of: GROUP COMPANY SECRETARY

Requirements

Reporting to the Group Finance Director and Board, the principal place of office will be in Gaborone.
KEY TASKS
  • Providing the Group with up to date advice on Corporate Governance and best practice;
  • Ensuring all matters of compliance with regulatory bodies such as the Botswana Stock Exchange, Companies and Intellectual Property Authority etc;
  • Attending Board meetings and taking minutes;
  • Preparation and attendance of Annual General Meetings;
  • Assisting with the preparation of Board packs and circulating in advance of Board meetings.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
  • Must have at least three years of experience in the company secretarial field
  • Must either be;
  • a member of the Southern African Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (CIS); or
  • a member of the Botswana Institute of Chartered Accountants (BICA); or
  • a qualified Auditor; or
  • a legal practitioner.
