2017 APPRENTICESHIP AT BOTSWANA CHAMBER OF MINES


The Mining, Minerals, Energy and Water Resources sector of Human Resources Development Council aims to provide quality vocational skills within the industry.

These skills are developed at Botswana College of Engineering and Technology (BCET) in Gaborone and Francistown College of Technical and Vocational Education (FCTVE).

The sector is seeking to recruit trainees for the following Artisan Development programmes:

Botswana College of Engineering and Technology (BCET)
  1. Heavy Plant Mechanics
  2. Welding & Fabrication
Francistown College of Technical and Vocational Education (FCTVE)
  1. Maintenance Fitting and Machining
  2. Maintenance Industrial Electrical
  3. Millwright
  4. Instrumentation
  5. Refrigeration & Air conditioning
  6. Plumbing & Pipe Fitting
The duration of each trade is four (4) years inclusive of theory, competency based and on job training.
Minimum Entry Qualification: BGCSE certificate with a minimum of grade C in Maths, C in Science and grade D in English.
