JOBS AT GABORONE TECHNICAL COLLEGE

TEMPORARY FULL-TIME LECTURER POSITIONS (1 YEAR CONTRACT) - GABORONE TECHNICAL COLLEGE.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons for Temporary Full-Time Lecturer positions (1 Year Contract) tenable at Gaborone Technical College.

Main Duties: 

The Lecturer will among other duties

(i) Prepare schemes of work and training plans including lecture materials for practical work and demonstrations
(ii) Give lectures and tutorial support
(iii) Contribute to the development of the course organisation, preparation of learning materials together with appropriate teaching and assessment work
(iv) Plan and mark candidate assessments
(v) Assist in student extra-curricular activities and student clubs
(vi) Act as course tutor and or internal verifier as may be required.

Positions

1. ELECTRONICS ENGINEERING X2

Qualifications:

• A minimum of a degree in Electronics Engineering or Electronics and Communication Engineering or Equivalent.
• Teaching qualification and experience in a comparable institution would be and added advantage
• BOTA accredited as trainer and assessor

2. ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING X2

Qualifications:

• A minimum of a degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Power or Equivalent.
• Teaching qualification and experience in a comparable institution would be and added advantage
• BOTA accredited as trainer and assessor

3. CLOTHING DESIGN AND TEXTILES X1

Qualifications:

• A minimum of degree in Textile Technology or a degree in Fashion Design
• At least 2 years practical experience
• Teaching qualification and experience in a comparable institution would be and added advantage
• BOTA accredited as trainer and assessor

4. PASTRY CHEF X1

Qualifications:

• Degree in Culinary/related training is required as well as very strong management background and excellent communication skills.
• Teaching qualification and experience in a comparable institution would be an added advantage
• BOTA accredited as trainer and assessor

5. GARDE MANAGER CHEF X1

Qualifications:

• Degree in Culinary/related training is required as well as strong management background and excellent communication skills.
• Teaching qualification and experience in a comparable institution would be an added advantage.
• BOTA accredited as trainer and assessor

6. HOT KITCHEN CHEF X1

Qualifications:

• Degree in Culinary/related training is required as well as strong management background and excellent communication skills.
• Teaching qualification and experience in a comparable institution would be an added advantage
• BOTA accredited as trainer and assessor

7. BUSINESS SKILLS X1

Qualifications:

• Degree in Business Administration and a Higher National Diploma/National Diploma in Secretarial Studies
• Teaching qualification and experience in a comparable institution would be an added advantage
• BOTA accredited as trainer and assessor
Remuneration:

All the above posts will attract a salary at C2/C1 Grade (99 336/P123 168 per annum) depending on qualification and Experience
