PARTS SECTION MANAGER - KOMATSU


Komatsu is looking for a Parts Section Manager.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Degree / Diploma in Supply Chain and Logistics
  • 2 years supervisory experience
EXPERIENCE:
  • 4 – 5 years’ experience
  • 2 years supervisory experience
SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:
  • SAP confirmations for picking and binning
  • SAP Search items – bin history
  • Good understanding of Occupational Health & Safety Act
  • Basic principles of Botswana Employment Act
SUMMARY DESCRIPTION OF ROLE:
1. Warehouse Supervision & Inventory Control which comprises:
  • Supervising the planning, preparation and checking of inbound & outbound shipments & warehouse functions
  • Controls & Coordinates inbound & outbound activities and processes
  • Supervises the warehouse & inventory control, its functionality, optimisation and effectiveness
2. Parts Ordering & Replenishment processes
  • Liaises with internal and external customers with regard to parts order fulfilment
  • Coordinates parts customer- and replenishment orders
3. Safety, Health & Environment
This Leadership role entails:
  • Supervising the team comprising of:
  • Parts support staff
  • Warehouse support staff
  • Administrative support staff
  1. Supervising the section budget and human resources requirements
  2. Controlling income & expenses against approved budget
  3. Managing supplier / contractor relationships which includes the maintenance of contracts
  4. Investigating and inspecting safety compliance issues including hazard analysis and assessments
  5. Participating in the investigation of accidents, injuries and preparing of material and evidences for company use in hearings, law suits and insurance investigation
