1.COMMUNICATIONS OFFICER

1.1.Job Purpose

To build and sustain good relationships between the organisation and its stakeholders through planned publicity campaigns and PR activities. 

•Writing articles for the BITRI publications
•Managing the website including social media
•Ensuring that relevant publicity materials are available at all times
•Media analysis and communication assessment
•Photography – taking pictures and cataloguing them
•Events management – Assist in organizing promotional events such as press conferences, open days, exhibitions, tours and visits.
•Assist in writing and/or producing leaflets, ‘in-house' journals, reports, publicity brochures, information for web sites and promotional videos.

1.2.Requirements, Education and Experience

•A degree in communications, journalism or media studies
•At least 3 years’ experience in public relations or related field

•Awareness of different media channels

BITRI offers attractive working conditions and remuneration commensurate with qualifications and experience. The above post is for a 5 years fixed term renewable contract.
