SOCIAL WORKER/COUNSELOR

S0CIAL WORKER/COUNSELOR POSITION FOR BOTSWANA ASSOCIATION FOR PSYCHOSOCIAL REHABILITATION (BAPR-LOBATSE)

The main purpose for the job:

Ø  To provide assistance to the Program Developer and the Monitoring and Evaluation Officer in the implementation of the programs plans and services with a focus on BAPR’s Clients, charts data and referral services. This includes conducting home visits of clients, psychosocial counseling and further referrals to the appropriate community structures.

Ø  Logistical support to ensure effective and timely implementation of planned activities and reports of services rendered by the counselors in assistance to the M&E Officer.

Qualifications and experience:

Ø  Diploma/Degree in Social Work

Ø  The incumbent must have knowledge in the following areas:

·         Overview in drugs and alcohol abuse

·         HIV/AIDS

·         Administration and Management

·         At least 1 year working experience with relevant references

The incumbent must demonstrate the following:

·         Very good communication skills

·         Computer skills

·         Counseling skills

·         Ability to develop project plans, actively monitor project status and ensure projects are completed on time, cost and quality specifications
