NETWORK ENGINEER

1.1.Job Purpose

The Network Engineer will be required to build infrastructure and solutions, configuring, upgrading and deploying them in alignment with overall capacity utilization planning of the MTN core network.

1.2.Job Responsibilities

•Reporting to the Managing Director, the incumbent should be up to date with changes in technologies used globally (both hardware and software)
•Supporting customer experience through high network services availability
•Designing unique data solutions for corporate customers and maintaining high quality technical service delivery to customers

1.3.Skills, Knowledge and Behaviors

The candidate should have;

•The ability to provide innovative solutions in order to meet the client's requirements
•Strong communications and presentations skills
•The ability to network and build and maintain sustainable business relations
•Strong network and product development knowledge skills

1.4.Minimum Education and Experience

The candidate must have attained;

•A Diploma or Degree in IT or Telecommunications
•Must have Cisco professional certification, CCNP
•Must have pre-sales experience with CCDA or CCDP certification
•Must have experience in VoIP and a professional level certification - CCVP or CCNP Voice
•A minimum of 5 years experience in the ISP industry
