Mazars is currently implementing a long term contract funded by EuropeAid, and based at the SADC secretariat in Botswana. This project deals with institutional capacity building of the SADC secretariat.
As part of this contract, we are currently looking for a Senior practitioner in the field of resource mobilisation for a short term mission with a total input of 45 worked days, to be based at the SADC Secretariat in Botswana
Qualification and skills
Required:
· At least a University degree in Economics, Management, International Relations or a related field. A Post-graduate university degree will be an added advantage.
· Must be computer literate: Competency in word processing and spreadsheet applications is essential;
· Familiarity with Official Development Assistance and International Cooperating Partner practices
General Professional Experience
Required:
· The expert must have at least ten (10) years of professional experience in International Development and Resource Mobilisation, of which at least two must be in Sub-Saharan Africa;
· Solid experience in the design/implementation of development programmes;
Specific Professional Experience
Required:
· Skills and proven experience in planning and strategy development is a must.
· Proven experience in aid negotiation with international development organisations.
· Good overall planning, implementation, coordination, production and presentation of plans and reports.
Preferred
· Previous experience in the SADC Region would be an advantage;
· Knowledge of, and experience in the use of, project cycle management processes would be an advantage;
· Prior experience of ACP-EU cooperation, particularly in the implementation of EDF-financed projects would be an advantage;
· Experience in sourcing resources for regional and international organisations
