SENIOR SAFETY OFFICER
2.1.Job Purpose
The Senior Safety Officer is responsible for documenting and reviewing all aspects of safety Management System for Air Botswana Engineering and maintenance in consultation with Maintenance Quality and Safety Manager (MNT_Q&SM). His primary role is to ensure that the Safety Management System is functioning and vibrant with engineering and Maintenance division. He will be the safety Face within Engineering and Maintenance. He/She will interact as necessary with respective sections as they relate to the SMS and will act as the central repository for all SMS documents, policies and manuals. Through risk management, they will assess the need for changes, manage process flow, write , present and distribute technical data, and promote staff awareness thereby establishing a robust company wide safety culture.
2.2.Requirements
•A minimum of Diploma in Aeronautical engineering or equivalent and possession of safety Management System training is required
•2 to 3 years experience in aircraft maintenance will be a distinct advantage.
