​This is a key technical leadership role in Mineral Resources Management and project-scale activities carried out within the Debswana Business Unit in line with the Resource Development Plan (RDP). Its core function is the design, planning and execution of work programmes to maximise the opportunity for conversion of mineral resources across the business that add sustaining value to Debswana and host communities. As with all roles, such activities are carried out with Zero Harm as a fundamental underpinning of the role.

POSITION:Project Management Office Manager

​Takes accountability for the management of a programme of 40 or more small and medium SIB projects at a mining operation of a total value of more than US$ 100 million. This would include responsibility for setting-up the necessary project office organisation structures, project processes and supporting control systems to ensure capital is managed effectively and to align and leverage opportunities between the projects that make up the programme to maximise value to the organization.

​Takes accountability for the planning, management and delivery of large complex study phase mining expansion projects above the value of P2.5 bn (US$ 250 million) through:

Effective safety leadership and behavior modeling for the project team, contractors and construction workforce.
The development of an integrated plan (for the scope of work) incorporating all stakeholders and technical functions and in line with Debswana standards.
Set-up of required controls to ensure delivery against these standards and the objectives as defined in the project charter.
Effective leadership of cross-functional teams in line with the Debswana values.
Transparent reporting of progress to stakeholders.
