SPECIALIST, RISK AND COMPLIANCE
Job description
Reporting to the Head, Risk & Compliance the incumbents will be responsible supporting the Head Risk & Compliance in the execution of the compliance framework & enterprise wide risk management processes in order to minimize/prevent losses arising from incidents.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
- Assess & manage risk at functional level. Analyze and evaluate the business implications of risk, quantify risk & weight up risk versus reward.
- Contribute to the development of Risk Management Strategies & define risk management & define risk management policy for own area
- Ensure the Bank is in full compliance with Banking laws, regulations & internal policies, processes, systems & plans.
- Contribute to the development of disaster recovery & back up management, policies, processes, systems & plans
- Evaluate exposure to risks in the business environment; assess macro effect on findings on the operating processes and company performance.
- Conduct risk awareness presentations, branch visits and training to enhance employee awareness on issues of risk management in line with the risk management strategy.
- Ensure staff compliance with internal policies and procedures by way of sporadic spot check, control testing and analysis of internal audit, fraud and loss reports with an aim of reducing exception and loss incidents
- Liaise with internal audit with on risk related issues, as well as noncompliance with internal policies, legislation, rules & regulations.
- Determine the impact of current and new legislation rules and regulations on the Bank, its current/ new projects, its current/new products.
Job description
Reporting to Head, ICT & MIS, the incumbent will be responsible for securing the Bank’s network & Systems to ensure business continuity.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
- Security integrity of data & network.
- Completion of IT security projects in accordance with budget, time frame and specifications.
- Lead strategic security planning to achieve business goals by prioritizing defense initiatives and coordinating the risk mitigation, evaluation, deployment and management of current & future security technologies.
- Act as advocate and primary liaison for the Bank’s IT security vision via regular written and in person communications with the Bank’s departments Heads, and end users.
- Remain informed on trends and issues in the security, including emerging current and emerging technologies & prices. Advise, counsel, & educate executive & management teams on their relative importance & Financial impact(s).
- Reporting of key information security performance indicators & continuous improvement planning.
- Develop & oversee incident response planning as well as the investigation of security breaches creatively & independently provide resolution to security problems in cost-effective manner.
Job Requirements:
The ideal candidates must be/have the following:
- Bachelor’s Degree in IT related disciplines. In addition, an industry standard certifications (CISSP, CCNA Security, MCSE Security, MCITP Security etc.)
- At least 5 years’ post qualifications experience within an
- Information Technology environment, 3 of which would have been in IT security.
- Expert knowledge in network security across platforms such as
- Windows, CISCO networking
