ADVERTISEMENT FOR THE POST OF PILOTS-C3 (3 POSTS) GABORONE

Applications are invited from suitably qualified Botswana Citizens for the above position in the Department of Wildlife and National Parks under the Ministry of Environment, Natural Resources Conservation and Tourism.
SALARY SCALE : C3 (P87, 480– P104, 544) per annum.
LEAVE : 25 Working days per annum
BENEFITS : (i) Optional contributory Medical aid Scheme (Government pays
50% and employee pays 50%)
(ii)Contributory Pension Fund Scheme (Government pays 15% and Employee pays 5%)

OTHER BENEFITS: Scarce Skill Allowance at 35% of Basic Salary

QUALIFICATION: A valid Botswana Commercial Pilot License

EXPERIENCE: A total of 250 flying Hours. Knowledge of Aerial Survey Flying will be an added advantage.

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
To Operate Departmental Aircrafts.
DUTIES:
1. Operates the Department of Wildlife and National Parks Aircrafts.
2. Check Aircraft prior to flight to ensure that the engines, controls, Instrument, and other systems are functioning properly.
3. Enforces the Wildlife and National Parks Act
4. Updating the aircraft logbook and writing a report at the end of the flight noting any incidents or problems with the aircraft
5. Undertakes any other related duties to meet the exigencies of the service
