PROCUREMENT MANAGER

New Era College is looking for a self-motivated professional committed individual to provide high level integrity and consistent accountability within a high pressure exciting environment. We invite suitably qualified candidates to the position of Procurement Manager to provide strategic leadership in the procurement and supplies department.
Main purpose of the job
Reporting to the Director of Operations and Finance, the incumbent will be responsible for implementation of the procurement procedures and processes of the company’s requirements in line with its Procurement Policies and annual budgets.
Key Performance Areas
Initiate and design department purchasing policies and procedures.
Coordinates and oversee development and implementation of procurement plan.
Build and develop relationships with key manufacturer/ suppliers.
Manage the purchasing and inventory activities of the institution.
Provides guidance and support in defining the contractual requirements when entering service or supply contracts.
Negotiate contracts, ensure optimization of service level agreement compliance, and minimize risk and unnecessary costs to the company.

Qualifications and Experience
A Degree in Purchasing and Supply/ Supply Chain Management or equivalent, and 5 years’ relevant post qualification experience. 2 years in supervisory capacity.
