NETWORK ADMINISTRATOR: REF ICT 03/16
Main Purpose of the Job
The incumbent will plan, design and implement various network architectures in addition to optimizing and maintaining availability of the network to meet business requirements.
Education: Minimum A Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science,Telecom Engineering or a related discipline.
SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR; REF: ICT 01/16
Main Purpose of the Job
Reporting to the IT infrastructure Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for the daily administration of the University’s server and storage infrastructure in addition to maintaining availability of the servers to agreed service targets.
Education: A minimum of Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science or Telecom Engineering. Industry related certifications such as MCITP Server Administrator, VCP, RHCSA/RHCE and ITIL will be an added advantage.
SYSTEMS ANALYST: REF: ICT 02/16
Main Purpose of the Job
To investigate, analyse and document the information requirements of the user departments in the institution. Produce technical specifications for the procurement of software applications to meet user requirements. Plan, organize and coordinate the implementation and maintenance of business applications. To provide user support.
Education: Degree in Information Technology or related discipline.
Experience: Atleast 6 years post qualification relevant IT experience, 2 years must have been served at Systems or Business Analyst level.
Academic Programme Manager
Main Purpose of the Job
To organize, establish and manage programmes aimed at demystifying Science and Mathematics and cultivating/ stimulating interest in the subjects in pre-university learners across the education spectrum and the public in order to strengthen the Science and Mathematics student pipeline to the BIUST.
Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Agriculture plus a teaching qualification. A Masters Degree in education related field will be an added advantage.
INFORMATION SECURITY ANALYST: REF ICT 04/16
Main Purpose of the Job
Reporting to the Director, ICT, the incumbent will be responsible for all on-going activities related to the availability, integrity and confidentiality of employee, student and business information in compliance with the institution’s security policies and procedures, regulations and law.
A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or Telecom Engineering. Industry related certifications such as CISA or CISSP is a must.
