The NEPAD Agency invites applicants who are citizens of African Union Member States for the post of Senior Programme Officer, Occupational Health and Safety.
Under the supervision of the Principal Programme Officer, Policy Specialist the Senior Programme Officer, Occupational Health and Safety will provide technical support to the participating countries and regional secretariat for the project to design, implement and evaluate occupational health interventions. The Senior Occupational Health and Safety Specialist will play a key technical role in strengthening occupational health and mine health regulation in the mining sector in Southern Africa.
Educational and Experience: The Senior Occupational Health and Safety Technical Specialist shall have a minimum qualification of a Master of Science Degree in Mining Engineering or Master of Occupational Hygiene. Professional certification and training in occupational health and safety, or prior experience working in a mine setting or mine regulatory authority will be an added advantage.
