Job overview
Reporting to the BIU Manager, the Business Intelligence Analyst (BIA) will be tasked with the responsibility of providing value-added financial and market intelligence by querying data repositories and generating periodic reports. The incumbent will participate in the design, development and maintenance of ongoing metrics, reports analyses and dashboards used to drive key business decisions.
The successful incumbent will be responsible for:
- Designing and developing recurring and ad-hoc business intelligence solutions such as reports, cubes and dashboards using industry best practices for presentation, efficiency, and user friendliness.
- Analyzing and interpreting data and business intelligence reports.
- Working with the Manager, Business Intelligence Unit (BIU) to develop regular/adhoc reports of a strategic or operational nature as required by the Business Heads.
- Ongoing production of MIS outputs and reports to ensure consistent information supply in the required format/frequency.
- Involvement in Segmentation process, management of rules and data integrity.
- Understanding key business drivers
- Involvement in projects to provide single view of the customer and measure performance at customer and portfolio level.
Qualifications & experience required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, MIS, Information Technology, and Information Systems or related field.
- At least two years experience in developing MIS reports for Management Level and or report designing and/or portals based platforms.
- Banking Experience Essential.
- Trouble-shooting capabilities on existing databases, reports, etc. in MS Access/Excel and SQL coding skills (SQL professional Qualification will be an added advantage).
