MORUPULE COAL MINE IS A COAL MINING COMPANY IN BOTSWANA SITUATED 14 KILOMETRES WEST OF PALAPYE ALONG SEROWE/PALAPYE ROAD AND MINES COAL PRIMARILY FOR GENERATION OF ELCTRICITY IN BOTSWANA.
THE COMPANY SEEKS TO INVITE SUITABLY QUALIFIED AND EXPERIENCED CITIZEN CANDIDDATE FOR THE FOLLOWING POSITION:-

(i)HUMAN RESOURCES OFFICER
JOB SUMMARY
To provide service and various human resources functions that include recruitment,information management,manpower planning,salary and benefits administration,employee relations,performance management and employee counselling in order to meet company objectives.

KEY EFFECTIVENESS ARES
Interprets and advises business on specific areas of employement law,company policies and procedures.Collective agreement and ensures the wider workforce is aware of same.
Partakes negotiations with unions
Monitors employee relations climate,trends and advice on appropriate interventions.
Advises stakeholders on sound human resource practices to ensure fairness and consistency
Facilitates handling of discplinary cases and resolution of conflict to ensure compliance with Mine standards and regulations.
Conduct basic employee relations training for employees
Recruits and select employees according to set policies and procedures to meet business skills requirements
Ensures that all jobs have up-to-date profiles
Inspect mine and rented house to ensure adherence to company housing standards and contractual obligations.
Coordinates maintenance activities too ensure Mine and rented houses are fit for occupation
Administers the Mine comopesation and benefits schemes to ensure adherence to Mine Policies and Procedures
Analyses Human Resources related information and produce management reports
Maintains the Human Resources related information systems to ensure the availability of up-to-date information
Adheres to and promote Safety,Health and Environment policies and procedures.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Degree in Human Resource Management
Valid light duty driver’s license
5 years experience in the Human Resource environment
Knowledge of SHE Management Systems(ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001)
A strong background on Employee Relations would be an added advantage
