The Ministry of Industry and Commerce is looking for a suitably qualified candidate to fill vacancy of Project Coordinator/Manager in the SADC Trade Related Facility’s Project Management Unit (PMU). The SADC Trade Related Facility is an 18 months project funded by the European Union (EU) through SADC that is focusing on Strengthening National Quality Infrastructure in Zimbabwe. The PMU will oversee the overall management, administration and implementation of the project with guidance from the Project Steering Committee.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Overall management, administration and implementation of the project;
- Preparation of the project management manuals, procedures and guidelines;
- Drafting the ToRs for experts as may be required for the project components in liaison with component beneficiaries;
- Preparing monthly, quarterly and annual work plans and budgets;
- Establishing a simple M&E system based on the Performance Assessment System and monitor, record and report progress against the Annual Work Plan and Budget;
- Preparation of quarterly progress reports for submission to the Project Steering Committee (PSC);
- Ensuring the production, maintaining and circulating the minutes of the meetings of the TC and PSC;
- Undertake activities that promote the visibility of the Trade Related Facility Programme and SADC and the EU;
- Provide technical support as well as administrative support to the TRF Focal Point in implementing TRF programmes.
Qualifications
- A minimum of a Master degree Economics, Business Management or equivalent with at least five (5) years of demonstrated professional experience in the field of Project management or other related fields;
- Working knowledge of SADC and EU financial and procurement guidelines with particular focus in project management is an added advantage.
- Computer literacy with good working knowledge of basic computer applications, including Microsoft Office, etc required;
- Report writing and presentation skills are required.
