GENERAL MANAGER MARKETING

Job overview
Reporting directly to the Chief Commercial Officer, an executive position of General Manager – Marketing, directs and drives performance in the dynamic function of Marketing overseeing Enterprise Product Development, Consumer Product Development, Brand Management, Research Insights and Commercial Management within BTC. The position provides professional segment focused marketing inputs to the creation and maintenance of the Strategy of the company and leads Heads of Departments to ensure collaboration and synergies in support of driving operational efficiency and high consumer service standards.

This results in a position focused on providing proactive and effective leadership in: implementing best practice models of marketing within the division, improving operational efficiencies and execution and contributing towards the transformation of BTC. Knowledge, dynamism, technical knowhow and a proven track record of strong leadership and management is vital for success in this position.

Requirements
You will have a strong marketing background coupled with strong business acumen supported with at least a Marketing degree or Business Administration degree or equivalent with at least 10 years’ relevant experience, five (5) of which should be at senior managerial level of developing and implementing successful marketing strategies for corporate turnarounds in emerging market environments within mobile or fixed – mobile convergence strategies. You will need to demonstrate a deep understanding of telecommunications business models and experience in driving transformation and change in a technology driven organization.
