TECHNICIAN ON DEVELOPMENT – INSTRUMENTATION - KHOEMACAU COPPER MINING

Khoemacau Copper Mining is looking to recruitTechnician on Development – Instrumentation.This role will be based at Toteng with suitable housing and roster provided to the successful candidate.

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Assist in performing & carrying out the maintenance, installation, repair and development of instrumentation equipment and control systems

Requirements

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Participate in all relevant company, departmental, sectional and unit SHEQ and housekeeping initiatives as stipulated in the set of company policies and procedures.
• Assist in repairing, installations and any work required to set up, align or otherwise prepare for operation, all electronic and instrumentation equipment/systems in area of responsibility.
• Acquire basic knowledge on how to perform operational checks, monitoring performance and related maintenance to identify and diagnose instrumentation and electronic performance problems.
• Performing technical evaluations, fault finding and diagnosing problems and taking corrective action.
• Under the mentorship of instrumentation technician, decommission and dispose equipment in an appropriate manner.
• Performing on-the-job training to enhance the sections overall performance.
• Assist by monitoring trends in order to make recommendations for inventory control to the relevant supervisor.
• Perform data pack mark ups as required by instrumentation technician.
• Where required, assist instrumentation technician to investigates major equipment faults and breakdowns and organizes emergency repairs to ensure quick restoration of service

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• Diploma in Electrical & Instrumentation or Diploma in Electrical and Electronics from a recognized University, or
• Diploma (N6) from a recognised Technical College
