INTERNAL ADVERT-TEMPORARY VACANCY-1 YEAR
Vacancy Circular No. 1 of 2016

Temporary Assistant Board Clerk- 1 post
SALARY SCALE: C3 (P84 480 –P104 544) per annum
LEAVE RATE: 25 days per annum
QUALIFICATIONS: Degree in Social Sciences or related field
EXPERIENCE: Nil

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

1. Assists in compiling draft agenda for the Board and Committee meetings.
2. Prepares trip schedules and informs the land applicants about allocation schedule.
3. Takes minutes during land allocations and timeously produces minutes.
4. Maintains attendance register for Board Members.
5. Interprets the Tribal Land Act and land policies to Board Members
6. Assists in processing claims, advances, imprests, workmen’s compensation, protective clothing and camping equipment for Board Members.
7. Maintains commitment ledger for the division
8. Assists in the preparation of manpower and financial budget estimates for the division
9. Communicates in writing Board resolutions to stakeholders

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Undertakes the following duties;
1. Maintenance works
2. Renovations/upgrading
3. Civil engineering works
• Inspects construction works to ensure adherence to specifications and schedule.
• Assesses maintenance requirements
• Evaluates construction works for payments
• Prepares detailed drawings from issued/approved sketches

SALARY SCALE: B5 (P27 648 –P32 904) per annum
LEAVE RATE: 20 days per annum
QUALIFICATIONS: JC + Drivers License Class B.
EXPERIENCE: 2 years driving experience

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
-To operate light motor vehicles up to 3 500kg maximum weight including trailer (750kg) and any other permitted by the license.
-To perform daily service checks for oil, water, battery acid level, fuel brake fluid and tyre pressure before commencing the journey or trip. Refills or replaces where appropriate and report major defects to supervisor
-Washes and cleans the vehicle on daily basis.
-Records speedometer, readings, date and destination and obtains signature of authorizing officer at the commencement of the trip
-Ensure that the vehicle is equipped with all necessary tool and equipment and being responsible for safe custody of all such item.
-Undertakes any other related duties as assigned by management
