Job Summary
The purpose of this job is to be responsible for all aspects of performance reporting across Debswana covering policy, key planning assumptions, providing guidance on best practice processes and ensuring the integrity of the core finance data-set. The position plays a major role in executive decision support and accurate performance reporting for Debswana, both internally and for dissemination to Group Finance, the De Beers Executive Committee and Debswana Board members as required. The role also plays a central key role in the provision and utilization of performance data, driving best practise and continuous improvement in Debswana.

Requirements
Minimum Requirements
- Accounting Degree plus ACCA/CIMA/CA
- 10 years accounting experience including at least 5 years’ in a senior finance role in a large and heavy industrial/mining environment
- Knowledge of and demonstrable experience in financial analysis, modelling and forecasting
- Experience in systems development /deployment projects will be an advantage
Key Effectiveness Areas
- Helps define strategic goals and measures and manages performance against those goals. Interprets operational financial resource requirements and integrates with strategic business plans to ensure availability of financial resources to meet business objectives
- Helps define strategic goals and measures and manages performance against those goals
- Re-designs and configures SAP to embed performance data within the finance system to assist in automation and integration of performance reporting
- Identifies and manages the implementation of and adherence to legal and corporate governance principles/requirements
- Develops processes, measures and procedures to ensure world class quality business performance reporting service delivery. Advises on business performance best practice principles and parameters supporting the strategic business plan and directs the implementation of financial systems and processes to optimise accountability, effectiveness and efficiency
- Reviews Debswana investment appraisals for financial rigour and makes recommendations where appropriate
- Drives the integration of financial and non-financial information across the business and consistency across reporting submissions to standardise, integrate and optimise the performance reporting output from the Debswana performance reporting team and the business
- Ensure that a framework is in place to facilitate the generation of accurate, timely and relevant information
