The Health Foundation is an independent charity working to improve the quality of healthcare in the UK.
An analyst is sought to work in the Economics Team working with the Senior Fellow. The team consists of 4 analysts, 3 senior fellows and is headed by the Chief Economist.
The Economics team works closely the Foundation’s Data Analytics and Policy teams, using a wide range of activity and financial data to understand the financial performance and challenges facing the NHS. The analyst will work on a range of projects and activities for publication in Foundation reports and external journals.
We are looking to expand the work of our team into analysing trends in NHS activity (hospital admissions, GP visits, A&E attendances etc.), to better understand the link between NHS finances and quality of service provision and explore the potential causes and consequences of changing demands on the service.
The analyst will carry out in-house work with other teams in the Foundation, as well as with external partners commissioned by the Chief Economist to work on NHS funding and financial performance issues.
We are looking for someone with experience in quantitative analysis and research methods. You will need strong team working skills and excellent communication skills including writing, presentation and experience in drafting reports for publication and associated presentations and digital communications.
You will have expertise on quantitative evaluative techniques and have knowledge and experience of using Excel to an advanced level.
Experience of health and social care would be desirable but not essential.
Application deadline: Monday 17th August 2015, 11:59pm.
