A locally based food processing Company is looking for a dynamic and hands on Sales and Marketing Manager, with exceptional skills in business development including brand positioning, market research, goodwill maintenance, understanding market development trends and the workings of the local business environment. Contributing to establishing a successful business, the Sales and Marketing Manager will identify, strategize and penetrate markets with new and existing products for maximum competitor advantage.

Contributing to establishing a successful business, the Sales and Marketing Manager will identify, strategize and penetrate markets with new and existing products for maximum competitor advantage.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Pivotal to the revenue generation for the Business, the incumbent must be a strong willed individual who is passionate and driven to grow the business through aggressively and continually exploring new business opportunities and establishing effective customer retention strategies;
• Driven by service excellence, applies effective communication strategies to best execute brand marketing and diversity in the community;
• Achieves growth and revenue goals by developing and implementing successful marketing and sales strategies;
• Works to the meet the needs of the business in support of improving the Company’s performance, stability, position and sustainability;
• Develops, implements and a comprehensive Sales and Marketing Strategy;
• Develops and manages an updated and accurate market database that inform about business development opportunities;
• Working closely with the product development team, the incumbent ensures consistency and compliance with market expectations; and
• Stringent on monitoring, managing and controlling to ensure all activities are aligned with the Business Strategy and increasing market share.

Qualifications
A Business related Degree with atleast four years work experience in a high pressure work environment;
Or
7 years work experience in a similar work environment as above.
Or
7 years work experience in a similar work environment as above.
Essential skills & experience:
• Experience in a commercial/ marketing environment
• Passion, enthusiasm and commitment
• Atleast 4 years of Marketing experience is an added advantage
• Successfully completing time bound projects in a pressurized environment
• The ability to communicate clearly; in person and over the telephone
• Flexibility regarding working hours
• The ability to prioritise work
• Excellent copy-writing and proofing skills.
• Good visual sense and a meticulous eye for detail
• Analytical, critical thinking, creative and persuasive
• Good time management.
• Decision Making, experience of managing a team.
• Good level of computer literacy and appreciates technology
• Passion, enthusiasm and commitment

• Understands the food processing industry, retail, distribution and fast consumer goods;
