The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), the world’s leading organization working for the rights of children, is seeking dynamic and highly qualified individuals for the following senior position in its Programme Division:
Principal Adviser, Immunization (P-6): to provide strategic and technical leadership and direction in the area of Immunization. Serve as the Organization’s top position for generating dialogue within UNICEF and among the international community, for developing and maintaining partnerships with governments, alliances, development agencies, and others active in the field of immunization. Provide technical leadership for Organization’s programming around Immunization to achieve better equity outcomes. Provide policy and management guidance in the implementation of context relevant strategies through interaction with regional and country office staff. This position is critical for the achievement of the organization’s long-term results in Immunization and equity.
Minimum Requirements:
- Advanced university degree in public health (MD + MPH, PhD or equivalent); peer reviewed publications in the field of child health, immunization a definite asset.
- Minimum of 13 years of solid work experience in field of Health / Immunization at the national and international level, including in a developing country context. Recognized expertise and experience in programming and management of immunization programmes required.
