OVERVIEW
Botswana Railways invites fully qualified Information Technology Specialists with a good record of accomplishment to apply for the position of Network Administrator tenable at Botswana Railways - Mahalapye. This position reports to the Information and Communication Technology Manager.

MAIN PURPOSE:
To design, support, maintain and evaluate computer networking systems and to also install, configure and maintain both physical and virtual computer servers while providing support and enhancing end-user satisfaction to internal customers.

REQUIREMENTS:
• Educational:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information & Communication Technology or related discipline and a professional qualification in Cisco and Microsoft Certification.
• Experience:
Three (3) years post-qualification experience running a server and Microsoft network environment, Cisco networking and Citrix

KRAs
• Plan, design, and implement computer and communication network systems across the enterprise
• Troubleshoot network performance issues, as well as analyse network traffic, provide capacity-planning solutions and operate the help desk
• Install, configure, and maintain network infrastructure and security
• Implement backup and disaster recovery procedures and participate in recovery in case of failure
• Liase and manage supplier/ vendor relationships
