SPECIALIST TRAINER - SYSTEMS & RELIABILITY (JDE)

Job Summary:
Reporting to the Equipment and Maintenance Manager the successful incumbent will be required to implement and manage systems to monitor and analyze reliability trends by actively fostering a reliability culture focusing on defect elimination and continuous improvement.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Investigate equipment failures and performance problems
• Implement and manage systems to monitor and analyse reliability trends
• Actively fostering a reliability culture focusing on defect elimination and continuous improvement
• Review and analyse effectiveness of the root cause analysis actions implemented
• Implement cost effective solutions to maintenance and safety problems.
• Develop Continuous Improvement projects identified by the reliability program.
• Develop and deliver appropriate reliability training to maintenance and operations.
• Ongoing engineering support or mentoring to maintenance execution teams.
• Implement condition monitoring strategies and review effectiveness.
• Provide condition monitoring input to planned component replacements
• Develop, apply and implement change management strategies and processes.
• Preparation of reports on engineering activities
• Manage asset register in JDE system
• Manage life cycle costings and budgets.
• Manage asset strategy.
• Implementation of the departmental talent management initiatives by ensuring the right competencies and effectiveness of manpower (capacity building)
• Responsible for his/her Subordinates’ effectiveness and responsible for all performance management requirements for his/her subordinates

Job Requirements

• Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Equivalent
• 10 years’ experience in Asset Management, reliability engineering, condition monitoring, life cycle costing and budgeting of mining equipment

Company profile

Majwe Mining Joint Venture (Pty) Ltd has been engaged as a Contractor for the Cut 8 Contract Mining – Phase 2 Project by Debswana Jwaneng Mine. This project commenced in November 2011, to move over 156 million BCM of waste material to expand the current mine and it is an important contribution to the economy of Botswana.
