What are we looking for?
We are not just looking for the most successful women entrepreneurs financially. We want to hear inspirational stories of women making a difference across the Commonwealth in any area of business.
Although we are especially interested to hear about business entrepreneurs, social entrepreneurship nominations are welcome.
You can nominate yourself or someone who inspires you.
Anyone can be nominated for the Award. The only restriction is that the winner must be a national of or resident in one of the 53 Commonwealth member countries.
In addition to the financial success of the business, the judging criteria will take into account the entrepreneur's journey, overcoming adversity, inspiring others, making a difference to community, social impact and international reach especially but not limited to the Commonwealth.
The Prize
The four finalists will be invited to the 1st Commonwealth Women's Forum during the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting in Malta with complimentary access to the Women's Forum and accomodation in five star hotel provided by the Government of Malta. The winner will be announced at an Awards Ceremony during the Gala Dinner on 23rd November.
The winner will act as a Brand Ambassador for Commonwealth Businesswomen until the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting in Vanuatu in November 2017 and will join the Judging Panel for the next Award.
