CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER WANTED IN GABORONE

Stockbrokers Botswana (LTD), Member of the Botswana Stock Exchange, presents an opportunity for a suitable candidate to lead the company as the Chief Executive Officer. The candidate should have in -depth knowledge of the stockbroking industry. He/She will be responsible for providing sustainable strategic direction as well as creating a vision for success. The candidate must be a prudent manager and an inspiring leader who is focused on client service excellence.

Responsibilities

Develop sustainable business strategies and ensure their alignment with short-term and long-term objectives
Lead and motivate employee engagement and develop a high performing managerial team
Oversee all operational and business activities to ensure they produce the desired results and are consistent with the overall strategy and mission
Engage in high-quality investment decisions to advance the business
Enforce adherence to regulatory guidelines and in-house policies to maintain regulatory compliance and foster a culture of ethical business practice
Review financial and non-financial reports to devise solutions or improvements
Build trust relations with key partners and stakeholders and act as a point of contact for important shareholders
Ensure that all risks to the business are managed accordingly to ensure company survival and growth
Keep abreast of current developments in the industry
To take and execute instructions from the Board of Directors

Requirements

Proven experience as CEO or in other managerial position
Experience in developing sustainable strategies and implementing vision
Good understanding of corporate finance and performance management principles
Familiarity with diverse business functions such as marketing, PR, finance etc.
In-depth knowledge of corporate governance and general management best practices
In-depth Knowledge of the Stockbroking industry
An entrepreneurial mindset with outstanding organizational and leadership skills
Analytical abilities and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and public speaking skills
A Bachelors Degree in related field
