CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER WANTED IN GABORONE

Stockbrokers Botswana (LTD), Member of the Botswana Stock Exchange, presents an opportunity for a suitable candidate to lead the company as the Chief Executive Officer. The candidate should have in -depth knowledge of the stockbroking industry. He/She will be responsible for providing sustainable strategic direction as well as creating a vision for success. The candidate must be a prudent manager and an inspiring leader who is focused on client service excellence.

Responsibilities

• Develop sustainable business strategies and ensure their alignment with short-term and long-term objectives
• Lead and motivate employee engagement and develop a high performing managerial team
• Oversee all operational and business activities to ensure they produce the desired results and are consistent with the overall strategy and mission
• Engage in high-quality investment decisions to advance the business
• Enforce adherence to regulatory guidelines and in-house policies to maintain regulatory compliance and foster a culture of ethical business practice
• Review financial and non-financial reports to devise solutions or improvements
• Build trust relations with key partners and stakeholders and act as a point of contact for important shareholders
• Ensure that all risks to the business are managed accordingly to ensure company survival and growth
• Keep abreast of current developments in the industry
• To take and execute instructions from the Board of Directors

Requirements

• Proven experience as CEO or in other managerial position
• Experience in developing sustainable strategies and implementing vision
• Good understanding of corporate finance and performance management principles
• Familiarity with diverse business functions such as marketing, PR, finance etc.
• In-depth knowledge of corporate governance and general management best practices
• In-depth Knowledge of the Stockbroking industry
• An entrepreneurial mindset with outstanding organizational and leadership skills
• Analytical abilities and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and public speaking skills
• A Bachelors Degree in related field
