ETHICS MANAGER (IRC129121)
Reporting to the Chief Risk Officer, the successful candidate will be operating independently and creatively to demonstrate leadership and deep insight in Ethics Management. The incumbent will provide practical advice and guidance to executive management in institutionalising the Group Ethics Framework in FNB Botswana.
First National Bank of Botswana invites suitably qualified candidates to join a high performance and excellence team.
The core duties are;
- Drive support and alignment to Group Ethics Office objectives as defined by the Group Ethics Framework, focusing on culture risk assessment as well as business conduct risk management.
- Drive the Market Conduct Programme.
- Assist in the preparation and management of the ethics committee, as well as report on the status and risks associated with the Group Ethics Framework in FNB Botswana.
- Build and maintain partnerships with business
- leadership and management i.e. Compliance, Audit,
- Risk Management and Human Resource functions.
- Actively coordinate efforts to enhance the Ethics and market conduct culture across the Bank.
- Keep local management, Group, FNB International informed on ethics matters that may pose financial and reputational risks for the business.
Qualifications and Experience Requirements;
- A Graduate Degree in Business Commerce or
- related program
- Five (5) years’ experience in ethics or market
- conduct management
- Post Graduate qualification in organisational ethics
- Ethics Officer Certification by the Ethics Institute, or
- membership of Ethics and Compliance Officer
- Association would be an added advantage.
- Previous ethics, governance or compliance risk management experience within financial services/ banking sector is essential.
- Project management experience within large and complex corporate environments is essential.
