COMPLIANCE MANAGER (REGULATORY RISK)

Reporting to the Head of Compliance, the successful incumbent is required to oversee and act as a Compliance Officer for the business. Key responsibilities in the role entail reporting all compliance issues to the Head of Compliance, implementing and maintaining compliance risk management processes and methodology, as well as providing support to Management on regulatory matters.

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Compile Risk Management Plans for all core and high risk compliance requirements
• Enhance and promote a compliance culture through awareness activities
• Advise business on compliance issues and providing of compliance opinions
• Ensure that business addresses concerns raised by the Regulators /delivers on commitments made to the Regulator
• Facilitate the Regulatory Change process in the business and proactively follow up changes
• Manage the full reporting process, findings and appropriate recommendations for improvement as required.
• Communicate regulatory issues/concerns with internal stakeholders and business management
• Assist business to draft correspondences and presentations to the Regulators
• Raise awareness on regulatory risk management

Experience and qualifications required for this role are as follows:

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Related Qualification
• Knowledge of Banking Products and Operations.
• Good understanding of current and anticipated relevant regulatory requirements and supervisory expectation.
• Sound knowledge of local Compliance Policies and other compliance requirements.
• Comprehensive Knowledge of risk management principles, methodologies and processes.
• Good knowledge of BoB, SARB, FATF, FIA, NBFIRA, FATCA requirements and expectations.
