QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Studies, Public Relations, Journalism or Marketing.
EXPERIENCE
At least twelve (12) years relevant post qualification experience, two (2) of which should have been served at D2 level or its equivalent level in parastatal organizations or private sector.
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To manage, direct and provide strategic leadership in the government public relations and media sector, including research, planning and development.
KEY PERFOMANCE AREAS
Initiates and coordinates the development of strategies relating to public relations and media services.
Interprets public relations and media policies to stakeholders.
Manages production of corporate publications.
Manages Ministry website content to ensure that the quality of the pages meet international standards.
Develops and monitors Public Relations Unit Budget.

D3 ( P207,564 – P229, 152) per annum.

Manages ministry’s special events and news conferences.
Produces corporate publications.
Investigates and resolves customer queries.
Undertakes public relations and media programmes across the Ministry to encourage positive reporting.
Monitors implementation of the Public Relations Unit budget.
