The Mupane Gold Mine is located approximately 50 kilometres by road from Francistown in north eastern Botswana.In continous operation since 2005,MGM has recently increased the operational life of mine and exploration activities are on-going to determine the if there are further opportunities to develop additional resources.
The company invites applications for the following position
ARTISAN ELECTRICIAN
Reporting to the Electrical Foreman,the artisan will have an apprenticeship(NCC and or equivalent)and at least 4years experience in order to provide an effective installation testing and maintenance of all electrical equipment.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:
-Making due observance and adherence to mine policies and procedures relating to health,safety and environmental issues.
-Attention to detail in carrying out scheduled inspections of all electrical equipment and updating of log books.
-Troubleshooting and fault diagnosis of electrical equipment
-Maintenance,repair work and testing of all electrical equipment in the operations such as HV and LV switch gear,motors and starters,substations,security and lighting equipment.
-Working knowledge of PLCs and VSDs in general and in particular Telemechanique modicon TSX PLC and Allen Bradley,WEG VSDs
You are requested to bring your own toolbox with all the needed tools for your job as Electrician.
Successful candidates should have an excellent technical knowledge and skills including strong organisational and operational skills and ability to communicate with others and a "team orientated" approach to the achievement of tasks.
