POSITION: MATERIAL PLANNER
Main Purpose of the Job:
Reporting to the Logistics Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for the management of logistics operations.

Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or Bachelor of Engineering
Project Management
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing techniques
Experience working in a manufacturing environment

Schedule the supply of materials to meet production requirements and minimum safety stock levels.
Plan, develop, implement and evaluate processes for material delivery from suppliers to point of fit.
Implement all processes to agreed standards and targets and support continuous improvement initiatives and identify areas of improvement.
Monitor the integrity of Bill of Materials (BOM) and manage inventory accuracy.
Eliminate obsolete stock and ensure minimum liability to the organization.
Develop regular statistical reports and manage KPI‘s.
Confers and advises other departments and project personnel on inventory management related issues.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to forecast, plan and facilitate on-time materials to the production line as and when required, avoiding any disruptions.
Resolve supplier concerns and evaluate supplier performance in conjunction with members of the purchasing team.
