HEAD, ENTERPRISE RISK
Main Purpose of the Job
The Head, Enterprise Risk will be responsible for managing the risk of loss resulting from inadequate or failed internal processes, people, systems and/or external events, as well as initiating measures/controls for minimising/preventing losses arising from the above risks.
Job Responsibilities
Reporting to the Divisional Director the incumbent will be responsible for maintaining the Bank’s enterprise, credit and information risk management frameworks. They will also be responsible for coordinating the training of managers and staff on enterprise, credit, information risk management processes and fraud prevention. Furthermore, the incumbent will be responsible for coordinating enterprise, information and credit risk data collection/assessments, consolidating enterprise, information and credit risk reports and monitoring risk mitigation. They will also be responsible for coordinating credit application reviews and sanctioning credit applications within delegated limits. Lastly, the incumbent will be responsible for developing and implementing fraud management policies and procedures; ensuring fraud investigations and reporting; overseeing the maintenance of security information; physical security evaluations and audits; and physical security assurance.
Academic Qualifications and Experience
The candidate should have attained a Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Business Management, Financial Management, Law or equivalent. A relevant Master’s degree would be an added advantage. S/he should have at least eight (8) years’ post qualification experience in a related field, preferably in a financial institution.
HEAD, ICT AND MIS
Main Purpose of the Job
The Head, ICT and MIS will be responsible for providing strategic direction and managing IT systems administration and service delivery to enhance effective and efficient delivery of service.
Job Responsibilities
Reporting to the Divisional Director, Support Services, the incumbent will be responsible for developing and implementing the ICT and MIS divisional strategy; recommending the adoption of operating systems, platforms and applications; ensuring the security and integrity of data and network; and ensuring that the user support services are efficient. Furthermore, the incumbent will be responsible for completing the IT development projects in accordance with budget, time frame and specifications; managing the performance and progression of the ICT and MIS team; and developing and implementing ICT policies and ensuring adherence and compliance to the policies. Lastly, s/he will be responsible for ensuring the existence and effectiveness of disaster recovery programmes and procedures; and ensuring that ICT policies are communicated to all members of staff.
Academic Qualifications and Experience
The candidate should have attained a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology (IT) related disciplines. S/he should have at least eight (8) years’ post qualification experience in information technology management, of which three (3) years should have been served in a managerial position within an IT environment, preferably in a financial institution.
COMPANY SECRETARY AND LEGAL ADVISOR
Main Purpose of the Job
The Company Secretary and Legal Advisor will be responsible for providing secretarial services to the board, overseeing corporate governance, and providing statutory and legal services to the board and organisation.
Job Responsibilities
Reporting to the Board Chairperson and CEO, the incumbent will be responsible for ensuring governance and legal compilation of external compliance documents; overseeing compliance to legislation, regulations and national policy directives; recommending and implementing governance policies; and ensuring that proper legal and governance risk management systems, processes and controls are executed. Furthermore, the incumbent will be responsible for implementing a company secretarial framework; providing quarterly reports on statutory and legal compliance; and providing on-going reports to the Board on decisions taken. Lastly, the incumbent will be responsible for maintaining and compiling statutory and legal compliance manuals with applicable laws and regulations; providing legal and compliance counselling at all management forums; ensuring effective legal risk management; and drafting and negotiating contracts.
Academic Qualifications and Experience
The candidate should have attained a Bachelor of Laws and certification as a company secretary. S/he should have at least five (5) years’ post qualification experience as a Board Secretary and Legal Advisor. Exposure and experience in a financial industry would be an added advantage.
