Vacancy Circular No: 4 of 2016. Legal Aid Botswana is looking for an IT officer to join their organization. The role is tenable in Gaborone. An attractive salary which include benefits (P 145, 355.40) per annum will be paid to the successful applicant.
Main Purpose Of The Job:
To provide staff and users with assistance solving computer related problems, such as malfunctions and program problems.
Duties:
Assist users in solving technical problems and investigating issues by confirming the validity of the problem and seeking for known solutions related to more complex issues.
To provide user support and technical/functional specialist sup port to the office and branch offices in the country.
Test, maintain, and monitor computer programs and systems. including coordinating the installation of computer programs and systems.
Perform needs assessment for new applications and modifications to existing ones, make sure the related policies are followed, and that every ICT initiative, project or application is properly registered in the application Portfolio.
Liaise regularly with Legal Aid Botswana (LAB) IT office to ensure efficient and reliable operations of the ICT infrastructure.
Support the development, design and updating of the office and project websites.
Coordinate and link the computer systems within an organization to increase compatibility and so information can be shared.
Additional activities may be required to ensure the success of the work.
Qualifications:
• First Level degree in Computer Science, Information Technology
or Telecommunications related area.
• Valid Drivers’ License
• Must be a citizen of Botswana
Experience:
• At least one ( I) year professional experience in providing1CT support in public or private sector entities. Web-design (Typo3/ Drupa) will be considered as an added advantage.
